The acquired Business Intelligence knowledge we want to share with you during the course “Master Business Intelligence & Data Analytics”. As an experienced Business Intelligence Institute, we have developed this training for you.
During the Master’s program, we study the theoretical side of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics and translate it into your practice situation. After completing the program, you are fully aware of the theoretical framework behind Business Intelligence & Data Analytics. We will then start practically. As a starting point, we take the practical situations of you as a participant. This will increase your level of knowledge at strategic / tactical and operational level, and you will go home with concrete solutions.

This course is intended for professionals who work at the cutting edge of business and IT and in their (future) position are involved in BI projects or BI management. For example, the training will be especially suitable for (BI / IT) managers and advisors who have to deal with the drop-down and further rollout of BI in the organization and want more know-how in tactical and strategic areas. The program also provides valuable knowledge for business analysts, BI and data consultants and architects.
Purpose
This program aims to develop and implement a vision of BI in your own organization so that the right information is obtained from the large amounts of available data. To establish this, much attention will be paid to all key topics in the area of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics.

About 12 hours per module. Each module is given in 2 consecutive days from 10:00 to 16:00.

Learning goals
This module focuses on all relevant topics in the area of Business Intelligence and the organization. Which performance measures have the biggest impact on your organization’s strategy and objectives? Which people and processes have the greatest impact on achieving business goals? How can we better utilize the knowledge in the organization and develop new knowledge? The participants pay close attention to these themes.
The module will focus on the following learning objectives:
- The participant is able to recognize opportunities for his / her organization using the Business Intelligence folder;
- The participant can translate opportunities from customer, competition, regulation, economic, technical, political and social perspective to specific organizational goals
- The participant can translate goals into specific business intelligence and data capabilities for realizing a data-driven organization
- The participant can identify the tasks and responsibilities required by the participant and can determine the right competence set on the basis of identified tasks and responsibilities.

(Big) Data Analytics & Visualization
Learning goals
An analysis process consists, on the one hand, of the (visual) data analysis and, on the other hand, of visual communication of the results. In other words, how can gathered data be visualized in a correct, but most effective way, for gathering insights? For yourself and / or for effectively communicating findings to the rest of your organization.
The module will focus on the following learning objectives:
- The participant is able to choose the most suitable data analysis method from a selection of methods; He / she understands which methods apply to which situations;
- the participant can apply these methods for analyzing data;
- the participant chooses the most appropriate visualization for displaying the results of his / her data analyzes;
- the participant Know how to present different graphs in context in a dashboard;
BI Operational: Roles & Processes, resources & Tools
Learning goals
In order to make effective BI solutions, multiple BI expertises are required, each contributing to BI cycle processes. BI roles & Processes are directly linked to BI resources & Tools available within an organization.
The module will focus on the following learning objectives:
- The participant can name the interaction between BI roles, processes, resources and tools;
- the participant knows how to facilitate his / her own organization;
- the participant is able to establish the correct set of competences based on identified tasks and responsibilities Set

BI & Agile works
Learning goals
Business Intelligence teams often have multiple responsibilities, such as keeping BI environment available and controllable, participating in projects, BI analysis, and developing and implementing changes to the BI environment. Agile works helps to prioritize incidents and urgent questions they need, in addition to the time required for answering regular questions and implementing change requests.
The module will focus on the following learning objectives:
- The participant knows the basic principles underlying Agile's work;
- the participant knows the difference between Scrum, Kanban and Lean and knows which situations these methods can best be used;
- the participant has based on the situation within the Own organization designed a Scrum or Kanban board that fits the current BI situation
- the participant has established his own BI activities backlog that can be planned with the help of the scholar;
- the participant is able to name the boundary conditions within his own BI organization Needed for Agile work;
